Open Positions

Family Law Paralegal:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all stages of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and adoption
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
  • Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
  • Organize and maintain client files and case documents
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Attend court hearings and trials to provide support to attorneys
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness materials

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word; experience in legal project management software
  • Accurate data entry skills for maintaining case information
  • Ability to draft legal documents
  • Familiarity with legal drafting techniques and terminology as well as Utah family law case law and statutes
  • Excellent phone etiquette and written communication
  • Familiarity with legal research databases

Note: Prior experience as a Family Law Paralegal is required. Candidates must have a solid understanding of family law procedures and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalism are essential in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

Family Law Litigation Attorney (3+ years experience)

Expectations:

  • Meet billable hours and revenue requirements
  • Effectively and timely manage all aspects of their caseload (motion practice, mediation and settlement negotiations, trial) from the beginning of their cases through trial
  • Collaborate daily with staff to ensure cases are moving forward
  • Create and update client case strategy plans aligned with client goals
  • Attend and participate in internal team and one-on-one meetings
  • Track and meet all relevant deadlines
  • Produce quality legal writing (pleadings, letters, etc.)
  • Present with outstanding oral advocacy skills
  • Communicate with positivity and empathy to counsel clients and work with colleagues
  • Create and execute on legally sound strategy in an objective manner
  • Display proficiency with tech – MS Office, Outlook, practice management and billing software, video conferencing, etc.
  • Manage case files and records
  • Be familiar with court procedures and rules
  • Work well under pressure
  • Handle sensitive client information appropriately and professionally
